Generalized Hamming weight

The Hamming 𝑑-weight, is a generalization of ^weight: code Let D β‰€π•‚π‘›π‘ž be a 𝑑-dimensional subcode. Then

wt𝑑⁑D=π‘›βˆ‘π‘–=1[(βˆƒπ‘₯∈D)[π‘₯𝑖≠0]]

where we have used an Iverson bracket. Clearly the case 𝑑 =1 reduces to the ordinary concept of weight.1
